DLBA partners with the Dargan Forum & you’re invited!

The DLBA is delighted to host the ‘Why Choose Dun Laoghaire’ Garden Party as part of the Dargan Forum 2024, it is open to all businesses in Dún Laoghaire to attend.

It is our annual event where our town, and its business community, makes the case for what a great option our town is for business, when attendees from the morning’s Dargan Forum will meet local representatives, business owners and people from Dún Laoghaire.

We will also be celebrating the connection between Denmark and Dún Laoghaire through the presence of the Søstrene Grene in our town which has its headquarters in the university town of Aarhus.

Commenting on the announcement Niall Lawlor (Chair, DLBA) explained that the event will be a showcase for the town and its business community. He is also looking forward to welcoming the Danish Ambassador to the event to celebrate the link between our town and Denmark.

“Let’s put on a show of strength and share with people gathered from all over the country what we love about our town!”

Niall mentioned that there are two ways for local businesses to get involved:

  • Showcase at the Garden Party - We felt it would be a good idea to offer local businesses ( between 3 and 5) to have a pull up in the Eblana Club Garden to showcase their business. There is a short expression of interest form here - Numbers are limited so get your application in soon!

  • Attend on the day - We felt that inviting all local businesses to register to attend the DLBA Garden Party would be a good way to start bringing all sectors of the business community of our town together. There is a short form for registration to attend here. Numbers are limited so please register in advance!

Dargan Forum - All businesses are very welcome to attend the Dargan Forum which is taking place on the same day, on 4th July at 9.30 am in the DLR County Hall. It has a number of sessions that are relevant to small businesses including one on how to leverage technology for your business.
