Working together, harnessing digital, creating better futures

The DLBA Engagement & Skills subcommittee has been formed with the following objectives:

1. To deliver the online comms (i.e. website and social channels) to raise the profile in a cost effective, sustained and consistent way for the DLBA.

2. To deliver initiatives and programmes that encourage local businesses both to engage with the DLBA and with each other collaboratively. In particular to ensure that businesses in the town get the benefit of large events such as the Christmas Festival and the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.

3. To partner/progress technology initiatives that can benefit the DLBA as an association and its individual members. Such initiatives could include loyalty cards, collaborative research projects etc.

4. To assess and seek to upskill businesses on the effective use of technology in the DLBA catchment area.

The committee comprises Brian Dunphy (Chair of the sub committee, Stimare Ltd), Chad Gilmer (iPLANit), Eoin Costello (Dargan Institute clg, Dún Laoghaire) and Niall Lawlor (Sostrene Grene).

Each of these objectives will add to the value of becoming a member of the DLBA.

The work of the DLBA’s Engagement and Skills subcommittee is made possible thanks to grant support from Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council’s Business Area Promotion Grant.
